InternationalCoursework
Through the International Scholars Program, I was introduced to innovative and interesting coursework. I believe that the classes I took under the ISP shaped how I come to understand systems. Every course featured how separate systems are interconnected with each other. The courses that I took under ISP include Arts in Medicine, Global Uncertainty, Chemistry in the Latin Kitchen, and Women, Leadership, and Diversity.
Language Learning
My love for language began with my mothers native tongue, Illongo. My primarily language is English and as a child, I was taught Illongo from my mother. That eagerness to learn Illongo then blossomed into my curiosity to learn different languages. Language is beautiful. It is a form of how we are able to share ideas and connect with one another. It is a window into the intimate parts of a culture. I am currently learning Spanish, Italian, French, and reconnecting with Illongo.
